Microstrip Circulators Series, Custom Design Available
Description
Microstrip Circulator: A circulator is a three-port device that allows microwave signals to flow in a circular manner between its ports. It exhibits unidirectional signal propagation, meaning that signals can only travel in one direction through the device. The basic principle behind a circulator is the use of non-reciprocal components, such as ferrite materials with a magnetic bias.
In a microstrip circulator, the electromagnetic energy is guided along microstrip transmission lines. The key components of a microstrip circulator include a ferrite material that exhibits magneto-optic properties, such as Faraday rotation. When a magnetic field is applied to the ferrite material, it causes the microwave signal to rotate in a circular path as it passes through the device, ensuring that signals travel from one port to the next in a fixed sequence.
