LoRaWAN is a set of communication protocols and system architectures designed for LoRa long-distance communication networks.
LoRa networks are mainly composed of terminals (built-in LoRa modules), gateways (or base stations), network servers, and application servers. The LoRaWAN network architecture is a typical star topology in which the LoRa gateway is a trunk for transparent transmissions, connecting terminal devices to the back end with a central server. The end device uses the LoRa protocol to communicate with one or more gateways. All nodes communicate with the gateway in both directions.
In some LoRaWan system applications, filters are used as a way to select frequency bands.
