Drop-in-isolatorer er passive enheter designet for å tillate signaler å passere i én retning mens de demper eller blokkerer signaler i motsatt retning. De brukes ofte til å beskytte sensitive komponenter, som forsterkere, mot reflektert kraft eller signaler som kommer fra belastningen. Drop-in/stripline-isolatorer er 3-ports ferrittenheter som gir høy isolasjon i den ene retningen og lavt tap i den andre retningen.
